Cat Claw Clipping
If you need assistance keeping kitty’s claws clipped, we hold clipping clinics on the first and third Sundays of each month from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the San Francisco SPCA Spay Neuter Clinic, located in the Leanne B. Roberts Animal Care Center, 201 Alabama St.
If your cat is reasonably comfortable with clipping, please arrive between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. If your cat tends to be anxious with clipping, please arrive at 10:45 a.m.
No appointment necessary. The cost is $20 per cat.
Travel regulations and requirements vary by airline and destination. Before coming to one of the SF SPCA Veterinary Hospitals for a travel certificate, please determine what is necessary for your trip. Our veterinarians and client services staff are available to complete any examinations, lab work and paperwork required for travel.
For domestic air travel, state health officials generally require health certificates for all animals. Health certificates must be issued by a licensed veterinarian who examined the animal within 10 days of departure. For dogs and cats, airlines generally require travel certificates at check-in.
For travel to U.S. territories and foreign countries, we recommend contacting the appropriate embassy, government agency or consulate at least four weeks in advance. For travel to Hawaii, the United Kingdom, and other island nations, we recommend contacting the appropriate agency a MINIMUM of six months prior to your planned departure.
